Voice of Democracy


   The Voice of Democracy Contest is limited to students in the ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth grades. Students may be attending public high schools, parochial or private high schools or home educated.

   The deadline for entry is November 1st of each year.

   The forms and essay must be in the hands of the VFW no later than midnight of November 1st. There are no exceptions to this rule.

VFW Sponsored Youth Programs


   The VFW and Post 12075 are avid youth activities supporters. Two very important programs are the Voice of Democracy and Patriots Pen. The are described below. Two other programs are sponsored by the VFW Auxiliary. For information go to that page.



Patriot's Pen.


   The Patriot's Pen Contest is limited to students in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades. Students may be attending public schools, parochial or private schools or home educated.

   The deadline for entry is November 1st of each year.

An Important Notice for Parents


When completing the participation form, you will certify the student has received no unauthorized assistance from you or any other adult. In addition, and this is important, once the application has been submitted, all further contact or communications will be between the student contestant and the VFW Representative. The student will be held responsible for subsequent contacts, replies to contacts and all communications including acknowledgments and scheduling. Parents may be contacted as a courtesy but only as a courtesy.
